Does anyone one have any suggestions on a good ligh to us for both normal and basking? I see there are too many choices so I figured I would ask the experts.

Run of the mill old inefficient incandescent house bulbs, somewhere in the 40-60w range.
I think the 24 pack I bought cost me like 6-8$.

I dont think thats right.. I thought they need a special UVB bulb..

They do need UVB. For best results you want to use two lamps. Heat from the household lamp and UVB from a Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0. When installing the 5.0, be sure there is no plastic between the lamp and the chameleon (cage screen is fine). UVB does not transmit through glass or plastic.

Place the heat lamp at a slight angle near the UVB lamp so the cham can get both heat and UVB at the same time.
