Hi

Resentley got a baby cham, but i seem to be stressing him with the lights. How long should i have his night lights on for? i have been turning his canapy uv light off and just putting his purple night glow light on, but something isnt right coz hes going dark. ive only had him 2 nights, please help i hate knowing that hes unhappy n stressed.

Thanks

Shona n Jambo :)

Chams do not need any light during the day, he's stressted becuase he's not getting enough sleep.

I have my room set up for 11 hours of artificial light for UVB and basking (7am - 6pm), and let any risidual daylight on either side of that timeframe come through. I have the room overhead light on a timer as well. The room light comes 15 minutes prior to the cage lights coming on and 15 minutes after the cage lights go out. I dont use any lights at night. If warmth is needed, I will use a ceramic heat emitter.

You should fill out the how to ask for help form, that way anything that needs changing in your husbandry can be done.
