Today I bought a powersun uv at the white plains reptile show. It is 100 watts. right now I have a 75 watt light with the dome and a repti-sun 5.0 bulb. The guy told me this a good bulb for my juevinile panther chameleon because it provides UVA,UVB, and the heat all in one bulb. I also got the deep dome for it so it doesnt overheat the cage.

Is this a good product for a juevinile panther chameleon?

Let me know

thanks

They can work, but mercury vapor bulbs can be tricky without a UV meter to monitor it. Powersuns tend to be okay if they are used fairly far away from the animal. If you do a search you will find a lot of stuff. Be careful, because they can be very dangerous.

do you think I should just stick with my repti-sun 5.0 and the 75 watt heat dome?

Yes :) 5.0 Linear bulb and 75ish watt regular houshold bulb is recomended. You will need to check temps,as you may need to vary the wattage or distance of the bulb to achieve homeostasis.

ok thanks and my setup is like about 72 degrees do you think I should get a 100 watt bulb?

And just got that at petco right?

What part of the setup is 72ish? The bottom of the "setup" should be 70ish, and basking 85ish. I would buy the basking bulb at wallmart, as its cheaper and easier. You may need to play with bulbs ranging from 40w-100w depending on your situation. Its different for everyone.

ok will do. And also thats at the bottom right. Should I buy another thermometer so I can see how hot it is at the top of the cage?

You could. I use two. You could also just move it, digital therm. are best and you can find the ones that do humidity as well at lowes/homedepot/wallmart for under $20 last I checked.
