Leopard tortoises

Hi,

I recently got two leopard tortoises and would like to know how old they are??
The one weighs 1.1kg's and the other 900kg's

Also, the smaller one wont eat any veggies I give him including corn which is needed for their fibre intake where as the big one munches everything? What could the issue be??

I have one...but for good info Tortoiseforum.org is a good place to start rather than a chameleon forum:D I have NO idea how old they are but 900kg is HUGE:eek: I usually chop up spring mix and mix it with a hydrated Mazuri pellet, and sprinkle Repashy's tortoise supplement over the meal. You can also get spineless prickly pear that that they tend to really like.

I raised two of them from tiny hatchlings until they were about 7 years old....they were doing well...but I never weighed them...I only picked them up to see if they were heavy enough.

I fed them dandelion greens, kale, collards, endive, escarole, carrots, squash, sweet potato, sweet red pepper, zucchini, etc. and a tiny bit of fruit (apple, pear, melon, berries, etc.) I dusted it with phos. free calcium powder and once in a while a phos. free calcium/D3 powder.

I think he meant 900 grams rather the 900kg (which would be 1980lbs, lol). Can't guess the age but please follow kinyonga's advice on feeding. Corn is not a good food for a tortoise to be eating. Their fiber should come from grasses and hay. Sweet potato and cactus pads also have lots of fiber. Post some pictures! I love leopard tortoises! :)
