Awesome series of pics Juli... My Veiled Girl Caddie is the same way... She will crawl out and onto my hand and all i have to do is offer it to her. Took a while to get her that way though. She isn't doing that now though... She gets pissy and advertises her Yellow and orange Spots on a Black bkgnd... You know what that means! Wooo Hoo... Babies!

Boy, Leon is a BIG boy. I'm going to have to weigh my Arnold one of these days to see how many grams he weighs. That ought to be a fun experience! LOL

Juli he is gorgeous! Its so cute that he is so friendly. Was he always like that? Have you had him since he was a baby?

Juli, that is awsome!.. im jelous...i wish my veileds were that way...i have to wear gloves when i clean there cages! they bite like rabid pitbulls!!!:(

my panthers and jacksons are the friendly ones..:)

Thats awesome !!! My veiled does the exact same thing. Usually when im doing something inside his cage he'll climb on me and usually shoot to the top of my head. He also displays the same type of coloring very bight colors.

BTW...Will yours fire up when you show him a mirror? Mine no longer does for some reason. After I had him for a few weeks he would but now since hes been "tamed" he wont.

He probably figured out your dirty trick. "Dad, I know thats me!"

Yep-have had him since he was 11 weeks old! We did not handle him much-even though my husband was dieing too-until he was about 4 months old and ever since he has been the calm guy that he is!

Since he is so mellow it it REALLY hard to get him to fire up-I have tried mirrors and a fake little dinosaur, even the other males that I have (no Veileds) with not much result.

Haha! Well at least you have a really nice, and very pretty male veiled! My female veiled was NOT friendly!

What a cool guy :)

He is a beautiful Veiled! I am still getting ready to get my first Veiled. I am curious, do you think his personality is more nature or nurture; do think that that is just his inherent personality, or do you think it was how he was raised? I hope that the Veiled I get will be as friendly as Leon :). When I get mine, what can I do to help him be this friendly? Thanks, and you have one awesome Veiled there :D.

Leon has babies ready to hatch anytime now! ;)
Hmmmm-nature of nurture? In my experience with chameleons and in listening to others that one is a hard one to call. We have had Leon since he was a baby, and he has always been pretty laid back. I interact with all of my chamelons alot just by being around and by hand feeding, not necessarily handling. Some are very laid back, some are not. It doesn't seem to matter when I got them, or how old they were, or if they were CB or CH or WC. It just seems to depend on the cham! :)
