Leftovers

So I don't normally have many feeders left at the end of the day but he might leave 1 dubia or a cricket. I have been killing and tossing them in fear that they could bring something back to the colony. What do you do? Do you just throw them back in or gut load separate from the colony to put back in or just kill and toss?

I leave leftover crickets in the cage. But I also put a milk cap with a bit of gutload in a bottom corner. So far, I haven't had any issues. Dubia, I cup feed by hand, because I'm too afraid of escapees.

I don't leave gut load cuz my rain ring covers the cage pretty good and will just go to waste. I could put a little gut load in the bottom of the feeder cup but he will get bugs off the bottom regularly and I don't want him picking up a bunch of dry gut load and poop. So for me gut loading out of the cage is my option.
