I was just curious as to how many people have permanent lay bins in cage and just let cham lay clutch there,
Or do you have a small pot just to tell when they are ready and then remove them to a large rubbermaid can or equivelent.
I myself always have removed them but just wondering if there is succes in leaving them in and if you do how small is your laying spot. pics would be cool if you leave them in all the time.

I am a "BINS IN" advocate. All of my 5+ month old females live permanently with a laying bin and it works great. I think the whole egg laying process is just stressful enough without having to move the female to a whole different environment, but it works for alot of people so I am not knocking it.
Here is one of my rows of Reptariums, on the left you can see a laying bin in with a female.

And here is a cage with the laying bucket under a Pothos on a plant stand-this works very well.

I too pefer to have the laying box in the normal cage, rather than moving the chameleon. I have covered boxes, so that fecal matter, excess water and such doesnt end up in the bin when it's not in use. And I remove the bin, and clean or replace the sand ever other lay or so.

So how big are your lay bins looks like its about 10"circumfrence and bout 8"deep?
Julirs do you leave yours uncovered.

I do leave mine uncovered, and if you place them well they will not poop in them. I ususally use plastic flower pots that are about 10" tall and 10" around.

i leave my laying bins in the vivs aswell and dont cover them either
