I live in Czech Republic and speak zero Czech so buying this stuff was fun.

Ive got home after finding some and well it has VOC in it of course now the readings says (translated through google)

Threshold VOC of 30 g / l
Max VOC content - ready to use 10 g / l

you think it will be safe for painting inside of viv, only the wooden supports, the back board (but will be covered in polystryne fake wall when I build it. and the floor?

Yes, it will be fine if you let it air out before putting your cham in it. I would recommend at least a week but longer is better. It's a good rule of thumb for any paint/sealer regardless of published VOC content.

Is it exterior grade paint? I would recommend exterior grade for anything that might come in contact with water. Interior grade latex paint will start to chalk and peel pretty quickly under these conditions.

Also - why are you in the Czech Rep? That must be an adventure! One of my bucket list places is Prague. :)

its interior latex will this cause a problem??

Thanks mate.

I moved out here from uk last year after 16 years in the Army i met my wife (who is czech) ten years ago in Northern Ireland and she followed me for 10 years moving about so thought sod it lets move to the land of cheap beer.

I use interior latex on my cages. I just be sure to use satin or semi gloss finish as it tends to be more water resistent. The areas that get soaked I seal with spar urethane to make it water proof.

thanks, what iw ill do then is coat it a few times with the latex, build the fake wall then once all done will give it a coat in some nice dark green, as well the latex is white lol.

Given just how much I love stout... I'm not sure i could have been convinced to move from NI to CR for that reason :D Sounds like a great experience, though!

What kind of chameleon are you going to get?

already got one, a young panther, I had lots or reps when I was based in the UK but had to give them up when i went to Iraq, the wife didnt mind looking after a couple of beardies but when it came to boas, corns, Yemen, iguanna and sugar gliders (not reps but there exotic lol) she said no. So i gave them all up and said I wouldnt have any more untill I was out.

I have 2 beardies now and the panther, he is fine in the temp viv for now just making the full size one now. Last time I did it all mesh but these houses out here depending on how much coal I have in the house fluctates from 6 degrees celius to 30, summer time the house is very humid and winter dry as the dessert (sod knows why) so decided for a 3 sided wood, mesh front and top for ventilation, its 20inches x 20 x 48, slight small I know on the width and depth but bigger then the min so should be ok.
