Larry survived the move, I'm not sure he is eating though.

He got pissed at me when I tried to get him out of his home yesterday and even hissed and went for a bite. I finally got him in a little to go container and he slept for part of the 5 hour trip and was trying to get out for the other part. He is back in his home and I haven't seen him eat any crickets and the cup feeders are still there, although I did free range some crickets so I'm hoping he got them. He has been back in his home since yesterday evening and he has had two poos since then, both have been pretty small and not very substantial. If he is indeed not eating, what can I do to help encourage it? The trip stressed him a bit and I would hate for this to send him into a downward spiral.

Just give him a day or 2 to settle in. Try some different feeders, maybe horn worms or silk worms. Also make sure he is really well hydrated, and just leave him be. He will be back to regular in no time.

I will see if I can try to get my hands on some of those. His 18x18x36 enclosure should arrive in a day or two and I'm hoping things pick up once he gets his new home.

He usually has a pretty good temperament and outside of his home he is very chill and friendly. I felt absolutely awful having him turn dark and hiss at me trying to get me away.

Hey Jonah!! I'm glad the move went fairly well!!! When you get your new cage, I might wait for him to settle in the new house in a familiar cage before you move him again. Set up the new cage as you want it and introduce it in the room next to him after about a week. When he is feeling more himself, you can handle what he will tolerate and give him some time in the new cage to explore with the door open before you make the permanent move. Just a move to a new cage is very stressful. Take some baby steps and let him adjust slowly. Good luck. Keep us posted on how he's doing!!

Some good news is Larry is eating and he must be drinking as his urate looks decent and his eyes look pretty good. He usually falls asleep or at least starts winding down around seven or so, yesterday I couldn't find him in his plant though starting around five pm or so. I'm hoping he was just being elusive and wasn't sleeping sooner than he usually does.

If the UPS quote is correct, the new screen enclosure should be coming in today. I'm going to get it set up as much as I can. I really would like to get him in the new enclosure as soon as I can, I will certainely take your advice though because I don't think Larry needs anything else stressing him out at the moment.

On a side note, he shed last week and I am seeing some noticeable growth and colors :)

Glad to hear he is settling in. When you get some free time (haha) post some new pics!! I for one would love to see his new colors!!!

I snapped a picture of him pulling a mission impossible move (hanging by his tail and feet over a plant) and I will have to get some more. He is being rather elusive when he sees me come by lately, hopefully he will become more photogenic.

I got the cage assembled, it looks pretty good now I just need to get it ready for him. I was thinking I would find a way to suspend his pothos near the top since that is where he is most of the time, I do have one concern though. Sometimes he will stand on a leaf and will slip off. I'm pretty sure a two foot or more plunge would hurt him pretty decently. Should I just put another pothos on the bottom so if he falls he wont get too much damage? He isn't a big guy (yet) so I figure any fall can be rather substantial.

I also saw in a thread not too long ago that a member had a sand blasted grape vine thing. That looked like it would be good for the bottom of the enclosure as well, just not very fall-friendly.

Just put a few layers of paper towels on the bottom. If he does fall that should be enough to cushion him somewhat. As they fill their chests with air when falling to cushion themselves. Some chams have been witnessed falling and jumping from branches when approached by predators.
