Large pygmy enclosure?

So I just had my 180 gallon full reef of 4 years crash on me :( The cause is unknown as the tank was pretty much running itself at this point... I was really heartbroken. However, I have been into reptiles for longer than I have been an aquatics hobbyist, mostly with the varanids though; savannah monitors, peach throats, niles, and a black throat are the species I have of the monitors. I do have a Senegal chameleon that I rescued about 7 months ago and is doing well. Unfortunately the little guy was in such bad shape when I got him, his beautiful curled tail rotted away :( He is doing awesome now though! I was thinking about turning my now empty 180 into a pygmy chameleon paradise. I have done a lot of research over the past year or so and have fallen in love with these little guys. I just was wondering what y'all thought of the idea? Any ideas? recomendations? thoughts? etc...? I also have a couple extra 55's lyin around. I really like cham's in a mesh enclosure, not only for the ventilation but I like that they have something to climb on besides the plants if they absolutely wanted to. I could build a mesh enclosure for the little guys but I have seen a lot of places that say not to put them in a mesh cage.
