How do u keep them? I understand gutloading fully but do u keep them in the saw dust lookin stuff they come In? Or is that food? What do you all do for worm keeping. There treats so they last a LONG time and I want to keep them healthy and ready.

*bumb*
Okay yea no its cool I soooo don't need ur advice ill reasech it outside of this forum shell I've been in since I found It...

I wasn't serious input please. The worms is listed are examples I'm looking for all kinds and all of your variations of keeping as feeders..

Wax worms, I honestly just either keep them in the container they come in or dump them in a small container. But because they are so high in fat and good in about nothing, I keep very few and those are just as treats.
Butterworms, you just keep them in the fridge and they last for a long time. No food or anything.
Mealworms, the same as superworms. Small container with some gutloading food.

You want to know about other feeders as well.? Like, a huge variety of them.?

If u want to type it I want to read it. :)

But u have answered my general question. My problem is I get meal worms and feed one or two a day or two and I can only get em 50ct. so a lot end up dying. I guess I could try some foods high in moisture and nutrients to keep em up. Thank u though :) very much

I dont really keep worms much, but I would recommend putting them in a larger container than the one they come in.

You can keep them in rolled oats, mixed with whatever gutloading materials you like.

:)

I only keep them for very short amounts of time though, so I dont know how that would all work out in the long run...

and I will let u know exactly how it works out.. just give me a month or two :)

Do u just keep crickets on hand or what do u keep?

I no longer keep crickets.

They are too much hassle to breed, well, for me at least, I just dont have the knack for it. I dont like their smell, or hopping either!

I pick some up from time to time still, but I dont keep them on hand.

I do keep dubia and discoid roaches, and I am a huge advocate of them.

They are much easier to keep and breed, and much healthier for your chameleon as well.

I also have bees, grasshoppers, katydids, moths and flies that are very easy to catch and feed off.

I am working on breeding the flies right now.

Mantids are good, but hard(well, time consuming) to raise up to where they are large enough to feed to an adult cham.

I feed the roaches as a staple, and fill in with everything else.

When I lived in the desert, where there were no bugs:mad: I kept crickets, roaches, and worms. I have never been successful at breeding the crickets :( Or I would probably still keep them just for the heck of it.
