K. tavetana

I almost got these instead of my t. sternfeldi. I had a pair 11 years ago. The female came in gravid and died shortly after laying eggs. No luck hatching them. They are very cool. I would love to try them again someday. Good luck with them.

I kept and bred them back in 2000-2002. From what I remember they proved rather easy to keep. The biggest issue was selling the young.

So is anyone working with tavetana? I have a group coming next week.

Carl

In the past there were a handful of people working with that species. As of now I think only Luis or luevelvet is working with that species of Kinyongia.

If I remember correctly, mine only laid seven eggs. With a small colony hopefully you can sell them off. I don't understand everyone's obsession with panthers and veileds. There are so many cool species out there.

Thanks Jeremy.

I don't know why either but its always been a problem making private sales with the less kept stuff. Once they have become CB's a lot of these species fit right into normal conditions that we live in.

I couldn't agree more. Kinyongia is such a cool species.. really active and always climbing around. But in my experience so far they are not huge eaters.. mine is I think around 8-9 months old and for sure does not eat 10+ crickets a day

Carl the only thing keeping me from buying tavs is space and time of year. I am already below zero part or the time, so nothing in, nothing out. I had tavs a few years ago, I loved those mean biting dolls to pieces. When I bought them they were about $200 each.

Go breed babies for me to buy.:D
