I am worried about altering my chams night sleep because, right now going to school at 7 am, and i ask for someone at my house to turn on my chams light at 10am, but i put in his feeding cup before i leave my house, at 7am..and i was thinking that instead of waking him up before his lights are on, turn on his lights at 7am along with puting his feeding cup at that time, if i do that tomorrow, will it cause him stress?? and if i wake up later on weekends like at 10am, will it affect him? i would of course count his 12 hours of light every time i change the schedule, but what do you think??

Sure you can't set him back to 7am tomorrow he'll catch on. Get a cheap timer from any store like walmart home depot $10-$20 and you don't have to wake up on the weekends or ever turn lights on or off again.

Mine are up with the sunrise, so their lights are set on a timer to come on at 7am. You can even set it to say, 6:30am so he's up for a little bit before you leave food in the cage. But yes, buy a timer, it'll be a great friend to you!

but how do the timers work? will they work with a regular house light and my uvb light? and which kind of stores can i get them?

Like i mentioned. Walmart, Home depot, Lowes,Kmart, those places will have cheap basic timers. Example plug timer into household outlet. You then set timer to turn on and turn off. Plug your basking light and uvb into extension cord and plug cord into timer. Thats one way.

I don't know what kind of store they have in Mexico, but you can possibly order timer online if possible.

Oh sorry i didn't catch that.... Yes, we have home depot, lowes, walmart... thanks for clearing up my doubts

LOL its ok, wasn't sure. They should be able to point you in the right direction in any of those stores. Just ask employee. I like the digital ones they cost few more.

You place the pins on the hrs you want on and off. So you'd only really use 2 pins. Pretty simple figured Id give you something to look at. There are many various kinds
