I just wanted to share with you all, ive rescued a veiled chameleon from a friends friend as she was keeping him in a small viv with no uv or heat bulb for the last few months! he is now in a 4 foot high mesh viv with uv light and a heat bulb, his viv is full of live plants and branches for him to walk on and hide in i mist the viv twice a day and have made a dripper for him to drink altho he is taking a while to get used to it as was given a water fountain from a young age, he was a dull brown colour when we brought him home but he is now displaying lovely greens and even blues when he is in the mood
ive still got alot of work to do with him but glad he is finally showing signs of being happy, we took him out in the garden yesterday as it was lovely and sunny and he seemed to love it hadnt seen him so colourful as he was when outside and he liked climbing on us sittin on our shoulders or heads
Just waiting to hear back from a vets to see if the will let me register him there so i can get him checked out, he seems ok to look at but want to check there is no hidden illnesses he has a strong grip and his bones are not bowed so hopefully not having the uv hasnt done much damage will post some pics when my friend emails them to me (she took some good ones on her camera)
