Ok thanks. Just didn't want to end up shaking him off of his branch. Euphonium is low brass and the vibrations can shake the floor sometimes

Keep an eye on him while or after you play just to be sure, he WILL hear you play and may stress him.
Thanks. That's why I don't play in the same room as him and I close the door. I want to keep his life long and stress free.
Edit: I play downstairs too (he is uptairs).

When I make the slightest noise or movement, mine are quick to turn their heads! So they feel the slightest vibrations I would guess

all sound travels as vibrations of air; what we hear is actually the hairs in our ears changing these vibrations to electrical impulses. So to say they "hear" vibrations, is pretty much saying they hear.

Yes! Chameleons even use vibrations to communicate, vibrations so slight you cannot detect them. And some that you can hear.

I have felt mine vibrate before! I thought she was sick, I thought that her chest was congested and I took her to the vet! Better safe then sorry haha

From what I understand, they have all the inner workings of the ear but it's covered up by skin. So, ask yourself what you'd be able to hear if you covered your ears....then figure, they can hear that.
