So I was just thinking are there any heath risks associated with having to high of humidity? I've personally never read about any. Does anyone know?

I would imagine if your humidity is always high (99%), you can get fungus build up. My female veiled, after mating, had some small punctures from my males extremely sharp nails. From so much humidity she got a skin fungus, but after I cut down on the misting (just once a day, but kept the dripper for drinking), the fungus dried up and it is all healed up. probably another shed or two and there should be no sign of it at all.

Disregard what chameleoman is saying. Read this and you'll get the truth behind the glass enclosure myth.

I have screen cages so in good. I was wondering if to high of humidity can cause health issues. Like fungus growth in their lungs or anything like that. Im just super curious is all.

High humidity can lead to health issues...it can lead to respiratory infections and fungal infections on the skin....especially when/if it gets drafty in the cage from it being near a window at night.

Would you say it's somewhat "easier" for first time chameleon owners to have their chams in screen enclosures versus glass?
