are they turning brown or yellow? what did u do to kill the gnats. and how big is it and its pot what kind of medium are you growing in?

if you can get it outside! spray it with bug killer and leave it in the sun for a few days! (works for me)

what can i do?

How wet is the pot soil? If it is saturated, your plant is dying because it's roots are suffocating and rotting. You might be seeing the delayed effects of overly wet soil (which also helped get the gnats going). Actually, most house plants don't like a lot of sand in the soil. It compacts and fills in all the air spaces around soil particles, reduces aeration so the roots die.

It might be too late to save that particular plant if all its roots have died. You'll need to unpot it, get rid of the old soil (unless you just replaced it), and try to get the plant going again in good light. Add a faster-draining layer in the bottom of the pot by using perlite, pebbles, or chunks of clay pot. Enlarge the drain holes if they are tiny. Don't use a pot saucer or make sure the saucer doesn't sit full of water.

First, get rid of the umbrella plant it's toxic to chameleons. Unless you're referring to Schleffera, which is sometimes referred to as an umbrella plant?

Second, don't use any pesticides or "bug killers" because the residue will be toxic to your chameleon.

Just get a new plant.
