Jackson's seems to be on his way out...

I got a call today from a local pet shop, asking me to come in and take a look at their cham. Jackson's cham, probably about 4 inches long with tail, not in good shape at all. Very dehydrated, eyes visibly sunken, in their care for only 3-4 days. Is there any advice you guys can give me that I haven't thought of already? I feel as though he's on his way out, but I told them to definitely bring him to the vet again ASAP. I hope he makes the night. His eyes were shut most of the time, though I was told he did drink a bit. I have told them to closely monitor temps and up the misting a great deal.

I tried to coax him to eat a very small hornworm that I picked up yesterday that came along with the bigger ones I bought. We put it in his mouth (firm clamp shut on his mouth too, so it seems as though he does have some energy left...) and he chewed just once, but it didn't seem like he swallowed. He will watch prey (crix, mealworms, waxworms, horn worms appropriately sized), but will not strike.

He saw a vet the day before, given a dose of panacur to deworm (not sure if he was tested for parasites or not) and were told to fix their husbandry, which has been done. He is set up in a nice bird cage with a new UVB and the correct basking temps, as per digital thermometer and the careguide on the forum.

Though, what is it the vet should do? Inject him with some calories to build up his energy again? Any advice to give them until their vet visit tomorrow?
