Jackson's got hot too quick

I started to take my Jackson's Chameleon (8 months old) every weekend out for a few minutes of direct natural sun rays. He has a very nice vivarium (48"x30") where I keep UVA & UVB lights, however, nothing beats the good old sun. The first day he did fine, however, the second day he did not do that good. Anyway, I live in the Caribbean and it can get a little too hot over here anytime. I always take him out early in the morning when the sun is not that hot. Today, I had him out and just after 10 minutes the temperature reached 76F degrees. He started to open his mouth to cool off and I quickly got him back inside to his terrarium. He seems quite alright but has kept opening his mouth all day. I have tried to cool off the vivarium as much as I can (mister, shut down heat light, etc.) He seems ok now, but it seems he is not too tolerant of these temperatures. I've had Jackson's before and they have easily tolerated temperatures up to 80F degrees. Any advice?

80F is like basking temps for a jax, he will probably have difficulty losing heat if that's his ambient temp...
We have few days, weeks a year here in the Netherlands that can be like that... I usually try to have him outside in the shade with plenty of cool mistings...
I also keep a fan on in the room to keep air moving (not aimed at the enclosures) and put icepacks on top of the enclosure at night.

I think living in the Caribbean it's year round hot, that would easily justify buying an AC...
