HI ALL HOW ARE YOU DOING?

OK i got a great deal on a 6 months old jacksons chameleon which was 55$ dollars is that good and iam a beginner with chameleons what do you all think because the veiled or panther is not available the store has now 5 species

1-graceful chameleon
2-usambara three horned chameleon
3-Jackson's chameleon
4-1 horned chameleon
5-four horned chameleon and thank you all read and answer me pls

Living in the UAE with a Jacksons is going to be a challenge. That chameleon need high humidity and low temps. How are you going to change your high temp and low humidity so that it will work for this little animal? If you are able to adequately control those 2 factors then the rest is manageable. Let us know how you have it set up and what temp & humidity is. Thanks, good luck.

i didnt buy it yet

but i dont know i was making the veiled cage for it because the full kit is 160$ dollars cage and chameleon and every thing but i dont know which 1 of these chameleon live good in UAE

ohhh I've never been there so I wouldn't know if it was desert or not...LOL! :)
So I'm assuming Probably not a great place to own a Jackson's or Montane cham?

yes that is the problem I see with all six he listed, I am not sure any of them can survive but I guess with very carefully controlling their environment it can be done. Just scary for a first cham.

If you can control an indoor room's temps, you can maintain a reptile's needs -enclosure humidity is the easy part. Untied Arab Emirates is home to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and other very large cities. Not some third world country or place where he's keeping a cage in a desert climate, as long as it's indoors.

I agree with you on that...being his first cham..It will be little bit of a challenge to keep the temps down and the humidity up.

It seems strange to me that Veild chameleons aren't available given how close the UAE is to their natural habitat.

I'm going to assume there is air conditioning so temperature is not such an issue. Humidity is even more of an issue, but it's not impossible to address.

they used to have panther or veiled but the next time i called them they told me they have only these 5 i maybe go tomorrow to pet shop and i will keep you all updated with any thing that happens thank you all for helping me but stay in touch here so i can keep you updated ok;)
