Jackson chameleon

I just got my Jackson chameleon a couple of days ago and I went to feed him today and seen his poop and some was a orange color what does this mean? I've seen him drink from his dripper so I don't think he's dehydrated.

Orange in the urates is usually a pretty good indicator of dehydration. Even if you see your guy drinking it still doesn't mean that he is absorbing as much fulids as nessasary. Is the entire thing orange or is there still a bit of white with it?
How long have you had him for? How old is he? Where did you get him from?

So that means that he is getting a bit of fluids into his system but not enough. If you just got him he might be shy and want to hide from you and may not drink as often as he needs to. Is he still a youngster?

I have had him for 3 days now, not sure how old he is and I got him from a little reptile expo, the person I got him from didn't even know his age and there was no dripper. How long will it take for him to get better and what can I do to help.

I think he is still young he's about 4" from the tip of his longest horn to his back legs. I don't know how measure him lol sorry. How big will he get?

Jackson chameleon, male,I have had him for 3 days now.

I haven't handled him yet I'm letting him get used to his new home

I feed him crickets and super worms I gut load them all the time there is a dish with there food and water I feed him 4 crickets a day cuz he is still young

Repti cal without D3 2x a week repti cal with D3 1x a month and reptivite 1x a month all made by zoomed.

I use a dripper and I have a misting system that comes on every 4 hours for 8 seconds

All that sounds fantastic so far!! Especially since you have a misting system, though i do think that it should come on every2-3 hours for more like 5 mins.. That is always a beautiful thing to have one (and at times i think is almost a nessasary thing too.) This will give you the right idea with hand misting as well because its still a nessasary evil sometimes. https://www.chameleonforums.com/hand-misting-5565/
As far as lighting is concerned what type, brand of lights do you use?

I'd read up on Hoj's blog. Jackson's need alot of humidity and a low amount of heat. I don't know where you are in the world but i'm in FL and its 1am here so i'm off to bed. You should fill out that "how to ask for help" form and post it on this thread tommrow and i know there will be multiple people willing to help you. And you can also pm me if you would like any advice. But like i said most of my knowledge was gained from this site. If you look in the right places and ask the right people, you will gain the knowledge you need for proper husbandry of your little one. Good luck and goodnight

I would turn up the mistings, I run a humidifier in my Jackson's cage for 30 minutes every two hours during the day. Also make sure your dripper is running at a good pace. My guy will not drink from his dripper if it is too slow, likes it at a steady slow flow. Hopefully with time he will get more relaxed and drink better for you, good luck.
