Jackson Chameleon Sick

My Jackson's mouth is swollen on both sides, one is worth than the other and it's a little swolen and black around his skull. PLEASE HELP! It just started recently and he's been eating fine. I think he got stressed out when i took him to the reptile dealer I got him from becuase he's not eating today. i really want to make sure i heal him back to health. Any ideas? Is it in the corner of the mouth? Jacksons hace a temporal gland there. It's not uncommon for this to get infected, especially if the cham immune system has been compromised (from stress for instance). You should take him to the vet, they can clean out the infected area and if needed prescribe antibiotics.
You can try cleaning it out yourself, but I still think a vet visit is in order.

Take him to the vet. It is probably what the poster above me said- my other guess is a bad case of mouth rot. Either way, a cham savvy vet is a good idea. Check here if you don't have a vet that is familiar with chams: herpvetconnection.com
