Jackson Chameleon Night Time Temperatures

Hello everyone. My little guy (4 months old) was gaping a few times today :( and there were no signs of respiratory infection, thankfully. So I figured it was just the temperatures. Right now, at 11:00 PM I went into my room to check on him. He was sleeping, and the room is much cooler now. I believe it is about 67 or so degrees in there right now, but I put a digital thermometer (not in the cage, it's not made for that) in my room to see what the room temperature there is. Is 67 degree fahrenheit appropriate for a 4 month old Jackson Chameleon at night time?

Seems fine. Jacksons do best with cooler temps at night. How hot is it during the day?

If you can make it a bit cooler, i would try to do that.
What are your day time temps?

Baby jacksons like cooler temps during the day as well.

It did become cooler, it went down to about 61 or 62 degrees fahrenheit. That's freezing for me though lol thankfully I can just hide in my blankets. :p

THe day time temperatures are about 75 degrees fahrenheit. Is that okay? There have been cases where it has gotten hotter than that but I try my best to keep it appropriate. Whenever I notice it goes over 75 during the day, I open the window in my room (he is right next to it) to see if that does anything, and if it doens't, I'll close it, and turn the air conditioning on. Sometimes I even put a fan pointing in the general direction of his enclosure (so basically pointing at the window) to help push the cooler air over by his enclosure, but not always.

Most of the time, although I try to make it all the time, his day time temperatures are 75 degrees fahrenheit. Sometimes a bit cooler, like 72.

You worry too much.:) Mother nature doesn't keep a constant temperature. My Jackson's see temperatures from the 40's to the mid 90's with no problems. Just use common sense. When it's hot, mist them more.

Imo allowing cooler night time temps in the 50's and 60's in one of the major keys to prolonged good health with Jackson's.

Thanks a lot. I'll try not to stress myself lol. But he is my first Chameleon, I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right.
