It's cold, how do I keep my cham warm?

Now that cold weather is setting in, I'm wondering how I can keep my veiled warm. His cage is outside and I don't want to keep moving it in and out of the house and/or garage. I was thinking about getting a 100 watt light in an outdoor fixture, to supplement his daytime basking in the sun and also getting a 100 watt black light to keep the enclosure warm at night. Does this sound like a good plan?

sounds pretty good, as long as the night time temps dont get below 55-60.

im thinking about making some chameleon sweaters.

Get a small cage to keep inside to sleep in at night.....that's when it's the coldest and at night they're not moving around anyway, so he want know it's small.

Right now I've got a halogen spot light pointed at his usual basking spot and he seems quite content there. I like the idea of a small "sleeping cage", but the only problem lies when I'm on shift. My wife doesn't like to touch him, so plugging in a light at night would be much easier. I was thinking about draping a heavy blanket over the cage at night (away from the light of course, don't want a fire) and that would help contain most of the warmth from the black light. If worse comes to worse, the wifey will just have to glove up, grab him and put him in the sleeping cage. :D

im sure if you put a blanket around it and put some kind of small ceramic heater pointed into it. I'd also take put a thermometer in there and get some temps at night to figure out exactly how much more heat you need to put in there

I know someone who puts plastic on 3 sides of their cage in the winter and ups the heat light power. What part of Florida are you in?

Im in Orlando. So you are feeling this cold weather also? I have large setups inside with a small outdoor basking cage for my panthers during the hot part of the day. It is a pain to keep moving them, but I'm not risking letting them stay outside over night. It is getting into the 40s at night here.
