Im not sure why but the past two nights he is laying in his light relaxing and when its lights out he gets darrrk like alomst black stripes and walks fast with a hunched back almost like hes stomping away and mad at me. i did upset him when i tested my limites of putting my hand twords him and ever since then he as so nervous around me and thats understandable but why is he going to bed all in a fuss

What's your lighting times and temperatures like?
Define relaxing in his lights...

Typically chameleons will start sleeping half an hour or so before lights go off and will likely wake up a bit before lights go on again.

Turning darker usually means stress/anger but they will also turn a darker shade to help absorb heat.

Did anything happen other than just the lights went out? Did you try and move him or reach towards him? It seems like there is another factor other than just lights going out.

He has been very calm with me and was ok when i was around until i reached to try to pick him up the other day. Ever since then he is nervous around me. But when i turned out the lights i was beside the cage (my bed is next to it) and it seemed to be fairly dark other then a night light across the room and the tv on. It seemed like he couldnt find his way to his sleeping spot and was in a bit of a panic. But i didnt make movements or anything other then turning off the light

I swear he is a party animal and dosnt like sleeping. He hasnt gone to bed until i turn the lights out. Its like he knows the drill. But his basking temp is 80s and i have him on a timer 12-12 (because of my work schedule) he does wake like 2 hours early but i have never seen him go to sleep early. He yawns and what not but stays in the light until i turn them off. The temp in my room is warmer as well since its like 17° outside where i live.

He will get used to the schedule soon enough. You've only had him less than a week. Pretty soon he will anticipate when the lights go out and he will find his spot and get comfy before they do. Give him time, build trust slowly by hand feeding so he associates your hand with food. My Panther will take food just fine from me but does not let me pick him up and I'm ok with that. I can get him out when I have to but most of the time I just feed him and let him be.

Chams dont "yawn" so I am curious what it is you are seeing him do.

Yeah if its one thing my little guy is teaching me its patience. Its all new to him so i try not to fuss much with him. I definitely already see how much personality this little guy has. But it really looks like a little yawn. He does it all the time when it gets late. He dosnt seem like hes upset its just lile a random little yawn (well it looks like)

A lamp across the room and the TV will keep him up. Maybe cover his cage until you go lights out as well.

In the pics on the other post, that vine seems to be just hanging and he has no way of getting to the other structure next to it. He needs lots of pathways to get from one thing to the other, especially when little they can not reach far.

Do you have a pic of your enclosure you could share?

you know i noticed him trying to get to the other side so i made him a path. I also have a vine im going to put in to give him more of an easier way around. I can get a picture when i get home or his whole set up!
