Current Problem - For a month now she has had this bump on her eye. Brought her to my exotic vet who told me it just looked like a cricket bite.

About 2 weeks later, overnight, I turn on her lights and shes having trouble opening that eye. It looks swollen and she's starting to itch it on the vines. I have a Vet appointment scheduled for next thursday (earliest available). My question is, what should I do in the mean time so she doesnt hurt her eye more? I'm flushing it in the morning with warm water so she can open it better. Is there anything in particular I can use?

Also, what questions should I be asking at the vet appointment?

I'm not sure I agree that's a bite, looks more like a bit of debris stuck in the eye or maybe an infection.

Have you tried giving her extra long mistings to let her try to clean her eye - 20 minutes or more? It cups take her a very long time to clear hey eyes out.

Also, I'm sure you know, but coccidia is extraordinarily difficult to get rid of, contaminates surfaces and cage decorations, and is contagious to other reptiles. Just be sure to be extra careful to prevent cross contamination to the other reptiles.

Keep us updated if you visit another vet. I hope she's able to clear out her eye.

Yeah I'm aware. I've already clean out and dissinfected her cage and everything in it.

I'll try a long misting. My shower doesnt create a good misting. Maybe my moms, though that may take some convincing.

Awesome. I always worry when I see coccidia. Best of luck to you both!
