Is this tree okay to get sticks from for my enclosure? i’m worried that it’s the wrong tree i dont see any sap

Do you know what kind of tree it is? Hard for me to identify the species without leaves.

there is some green stuff on some of the sticks should i just not even consider those or will it be okay if i just clean them with soap and water

Lol yes that tree is fine, it is oak.

The green is fine, it is lichen.

The soap you use to clean is most likely more harmful than anything on that tree, simply rinsing with water is the best bet.

The one exception would be if this area is treated with pesticides, then I would not use.
