Decide where you are going to keep the eggs for the duration of the incubation (either the closet or the boiler room) and keep them there until Monday when the HatchRite arrives. That way, you don't have a severe temperature fluctuation switching from room to room.
If the boiler room is at 80F and the closet being 76F, I would probably choose the closet for the eggs myself. HOWEVER, if this closet is opened and closed frequently - perhaps being accidently left open, causing temp swings and light penetration - then I would use the boiler room!
Are the eggs still on the sand? If so, transfer them gently to the lightly moistened Perlite you bought yesterday until the HatchRite arrives next week.
