hey everyone, so my 4.5 month old Panther chameleon has been eating a lot more than usual, also more active and has grown half and inch in the new year alone, as he went from 4.5 inches to 5 inches in a matter of days. Also my light timer goes off at 7 and he seems to be trying to go to bed a bit earlier, so I changed it to 6:30. Is it possible he is going through a growth spurt ?

He is going to be on a full blown growth spurt for the next 7-8 months. Glad to hear he is doing that well. You can adjust the timer, but chameleons are creatures of habit. My Nosy Faly always tucks himself in about 15-20 minutes prior to my lights going off. So, I wouldn't change it on him. That part of their behavior is normal!! I would love to see a picture of the guy!

Most of mine settle down for the night a few hours before the lights go off.
