Is Bamboo safe?

Hello,

I wanted to know if Bamboo plants were safe for Panther Cham enclosures? I am referring to the "non-toxic" indoor houseplant species generally sold Pet Smart, Petco, Home Depot, and supermarkets generally used for Beta bowls and terrariums. They can be found in the form of bonsai plants or by single stems. I picked up a few and wanted to know if they would be okay to add as I am putting the finishing touches on my set-up. Thanks.

Never mind. I found a ton of posts on the site, and they are toxic to pets. Oh well, I guess I'll have to buy a couple of Beta bowls :).

The plant you are refering to is not ok for Chameleons. It is toxic. Lucky bamboo is not really bamboo.

Known for centuries as Lucky Bamboo, the plant is not a bamboo at all (botanical name: Dracaena) but a resilient member of the lily family that grows in the dark, tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia and Africa.
