i guess i am going to haft to save up. does anyone one know how i can get a LLLreptile coupon, mine expired.

i think its only 23 dollars more.. its worth saving and getting now if you are only that short on money.

edit : it seems you already have the 18x18x36. i didnt realize you already had a cham. my bad!

Kammers keep theirs in 18 X 30 X 36. That is what they sold me and told me what they use for their adults. To be honest, if I had to keep my cham in that all the time, I would say it is not enough room. I have another large outdoor cage and free range he spends most of his time in.

I can't find the thread, but I remember reading a post by Brad Ramsey where he discussed using smaller (18x18x36) cages for veileds. As I remember he draped 2 sides with dark fabric. His feeling (at least at the time) was that it gave the chameleons a feeling of security and they were less stressed.

I think you shouldn't feel confined to what "everyone" says is right and decide for yourself. You know that this is a small size for an adult panther, so you will be watching for signs of stress. You might ultimately be forced to go to a bigger cage, but maybe not.
