Internet Ettiquette

I would like people to tell me what they were always told was the correct ettiquette for the internet. I was under the empression for quite some time now that if an offer was made on the internet and some one did not get back to you after 24 hours then the deal was closed. I am very frusterated by peoples actions and want to know what you all think is the correct process for internet deals. I would never make an offer to some one and then close the deal with some one else 4 hours later. Especially on a Wednesday when 90% of society is working.

There is no real etiquette for the internet, however it would be polite for people to do something like that.

Hey just keep your chin up, they will get theirs, and I'm sure whatever you were going to buy wasn't the only thing out there (but if it was... then.. >_>).

legally, if the terms of the deal were not disclosed either verbally or in writing, it is up to interpretation. If the person said let me think about it over night or for a few days and you agreed to this, then that is a time frame that the deal is open. If they counter offered, the original deal is void and the terms of the counter offer become the new deal. Of course if you decline the counter offer, neither deal is in action.

Also, if a deal is one sided (ie stating they will give you an item in one week and they do not benefit from the transaction [usually interpreted as financially)] the party with the item can revoke the deal

I give the buyer 2 days to respond if I have someone else asking about a product if I don't have someone asking for a product I give them 3 days.

I like the BOI but it kinda sucks to have to sign up for another site I'll never use. Wish we had something here like that but moderated so it didn't get out of hand.
