I am hoping someone might be able to assist with providing information on how to get my male panther to breed. He is about 3.75 years old and I have a virgin female who is extremely receptive right now and has been for over one week. I have placed her in with potential sire and he was gung ho for her for quite some time. She is extremely cooperative with no darkening of colors or mouth gaping. The male doesn't seem to understand how to finish business and often I can see him trying to mate her facing reversed from her orientation!!
I have another male and he mated with a different female approximately one month ago with good results so far (30 fertile appearing eggs currently incubating!!! My first clutch btw). I decided to put her in with proven male and he went straight for her and looked about ready to copulate. Stupidly I removed her thinking I wanted the other male to get a chance. Now the proven breeder seems disinterested and the other silly male does a bunch of head bobbing, but no actual mating to my knowledge. What should I do at this point?? Please help as time is critical for her to be receptive and at the very least I would like to have a fertile clutch if possible
thanks!
