My veiled chameleon laid fertilized eggs for the first time about 2 weeks ago and i have been incubating them at temperatures ranging from 72 to 81, the last couple of days i have noticed that the shells have begun to turn an orange color. Does anyone know what that could mean?

I'd say your cooking them at 81. Keep them around 70 and don't let them get above 74. I usually keep at 68 for first 3 months, then slowly raise to 74 at end of 9 months.
