Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - 2 female T. Sternfeldis. Been in my care for a little over 2 months.
Handling - 1 of my females never gets handled, as shes a bit shy. The other one often comes out, but not lately, as I'm pretty sure shes gravid and seems to have lost interest in visiting with me.
Feeding - 3/8" crickets, gutloaded with dry cricket food, and assorted fruits and veggies (carrots, orange, lettuce, spinach, potato). Feed small amounts multiple times a day. Both seem to have a very healthy appetite.
Supplements - Repashy Calcium Plus at every feeding.
Watering - Heavy mist 2 or 3 times a day. 2 drip cups 2x a day. I see one of my chams licking the water off the leaves, but the other one I haven't seen drink since I changed their enclosure this last sunday. I give her water from an eye dropper a few times a day but isn't drinking much (this is the gravid female).
Fecal Description - Not ever tested for parasites in my care. I'm not really sure how often they are supposed to defecate but they don't do it often. Urates are white with a little orange at the end. I have only seen one poop since sunday.
History - One of my females gave birth a little over 2 weeks ago.

Cage Info:

Cage Type - 18x18x36 Repitbreeze screen enclosure. Solid backing to prevent spraying my kitchen wall.
Lighting - 12 on 12 off Reptisun 5.0 UVB
Temperature - Small basking light. I forget the brand but it is the lowest basking light you can buy. The rest of the enclosure is room temperature (around 20 degrees celcius).
Humidity - Not sure of the humidity levels. I have a reptifogger but had to move it to the baby enclosure to increase levels for them. Probably not as high as needed, but unfortunately I don't have the $ to buy another one.
Plants - 2 Ming Aralia trees, 1 pothos, 1 shefflera plant
Placement - far corner of my kitchen. Not a high traffic area. Top of cage stands about 6' off the floor.
Location - Ontario, Canada

Current Problem - A few things. I'm still concerned that my one gravid female may have an RI. There is no bubbling from the mouth, but she seems to shudder sometimes and I've heard her breath loudly sometimes when catching crickets. She also will look like shes yawning sometimes after I give her some water. Does her nostril look swollen?? She has been sitting in the same spot for the past few days and doesn't really venture from that spot (although this could be her gravid signs, because my other female did this for about 2 weeks before she had her babies). How often should they defecate? I'm not sure if this infrequent is normal. Also, how can I get her to drink like a normal cham and not rely on my eye dropper?

Here is my enclosure:

And here she is this morning. To me she looks normal, but maybe someone feels differently?

I don't think she has a RI. I've heard many chams make a sort of huffing sound when they shoot at prey, and yawning after drinking or eating is also pretty common. I think they are relaxing or adjusting their jaw or tongue muscles. If she was sick she would not be eating at all. I would definitely start monitoring her cage humidity. Something like that can sneak up on you and cause trouble...better safe than sorry. She may not seem to drink much because she doesn't need to. Once a cham is well established and the setup is stable they don't always drink a lot every day.

If she's drinking from a dropper she may prefer this. Chams often prefer one way to drink, and it may be hard to convince her otherwise. Have you run a dripper in her cage? That might be a way to transition her...start offering her water by dropper as you do now, and then start a dripper in the same place as you do so. "Guide" her to the dripper and see if she gets the idea. Personally, if she's gravid I think I wouldn't change anything until after she's laid her clutch.

Just a note about your setup. I wonder if the face on your background could be bothering her. She may feel constantly observed...and preoccupied. Might be intimidating, so that's why she isn't moving around.

So i thought she was taking a turn for the worse yesterday, she stopped eating and drinking completely and kept closing one eye...and when I came home this afternoon shes gone into a shed on one whole half of her face (including her eye). I'm guessing this is the reason for her weird behavior?? I have seen her drink 3 times today so i guess thats back on track.

I brought her into my local guys store on Saturday and had him take a look at her (hes been breeding all sorts of reptiles for about 15 years so he knows all the signs of an RI). He said she looks fine and he didn't hear any clicking or popping and she has no excess mucus. He gave me some antibiotics to mix in with her fogger (Sorry but I can't remember the name of it) and he said to do that for 3-5 days JUST in case. I also gave her a warm steam bath in our bathroom on Saturday as well.

I notice that the only time she does any kind of wheeze or shudder is after shes had a drip of water from my eye dropper. I'm kind of equating these actions to that now, as I haven't ever seen her do it any other time. Could this happen if the water is too cold?
