i dont know if you already know this but the lights should be on a timer 12 on 12 off maybe thats another reason his eyes are closed??? they need time to sleep...

okay everyone i'm feeling 100 times better. after a day of trying everything, i finally found the help we needed. a good friend of mine immediately contacted me & said he'd be more than happy to take in the chameleon. we discussed the conditions & he is more than willing to buy everything in his power to keep the little one alive & kickin along with keeping me updated with the chams well being. luckily he was already planning to head out of town today & will have the time to take him to a vet. i explained all of the chams conditions & all we can do now is hope for the best.
i appreciate everyone of your replies as it relieved some of the
stress upon my shoulders, i'll be sure to let you all know how he's doing.

That is great news! You are a wonderful person for taking that little cham in and realizing he needed more help and then finding it! Good for you! Please let your friend know about the forums and that we'll be happy to help if he has any questions or needs advice. I hope to see happy updates on the little guy in the future.

I hope he gets the help he needs.Just make sure your friend is educated on how to care for them, they may be a hardy type of chameleon but its still hard to take care of compared to a ball python or something.
