If you had unlimited drainage and water supply, how much would you let the auto mister run?

right now i have two cages each 2x2x4 with one mister nozzle at the top, they have a ten gallon drainage reserve each, and a 5 gallon water supply. i currently run:
10am-5 minutes
1pm-10 minutes
4pm-5 minutes
...but i am thinking about changing it around a little bit. What would you do?

Are you using this to increase humidity or for drinking water?

I dont use an auto system. I primarily use drippers rather than misting. But if I did have an automatic mister it would mimic what I do by hand:

2-10 minutes each morning.
2-10 minutes each late afternoon.

mostly to increase drinking. i just increased their supply bucket size and now i have the capability to increase misting amounts, but i dont want to over mist them. Oh, and i would like to add that i dont use any drippers, i did for a while and got little response from the chams.

What does everyone think about one of those reptile heating pads under the water bucket? bad idea?

yes because the water will sit warm, enhancing the chances of bacteria build up.. go with an "inline heater"..

I have two misting schedules. One for summer and one for winter. It all depends on temperature control for me. If I mist too much during the winter, the temperature will drop too low for my cham. You want to make sure that everything dries up before the next mist session. Also make sure the cage is dry before your cham goes to sleep. A constantly wet cage will create bacteria and hurt your chams feet over time.

Summer Schedule:
Morning Session 5-8 minutes
Afternoon Session (Before Feeding Time): 20 minutes
Late afternoon Session: 10 minutes

Winter Schedule:
Afternoon Session: 15 minutes
Late Afternoon Session: 10 minutes
