Hi everyone. So my Cham isn't behaving normally. He's unusually dark, kind of sluggish and uncoordinated, and may have even fell (a foot or 2). His originally owner kept him out if the cage a lot, so I try to do the same, and he always turns a green and light green color, and has a dark green shade when I put him back in, but he's getting a lot darker when he's in there now. I let him walk around, thinking maybe he was just tired of being in the cage, and I noticed he was slower, kind of wobbly, and sometimes he'd even stumble a bit. His previous owner never meantioned him having any bone problems and his bones seem straight and stable. And about the falling thing, he was in his cage and I was in a different room, and my little sister said she saw him fall. I rushed over and checked him out and he doesn't seem harmed but I'm not a vet so I'm not sure. Any ideas what it could be, and how I could fix it?
Your Chameleon: Veiled, Male, 8 months, he's been with me about a month now.
Handeling: very often, around 2 or 3 hours a weekday and more on weekends. His original owner said she usually only put him in his cage to sleep, and he's always green when someone comes to get him.
Feeding: he eats around 10-12 large crickets every other day, and the crickets eat 'Flunker's orange cube; complete cricket diet'. I also bought him large mealworms today, but he didn't seem to care for them.
Supplements: I use Reptivite with D3, once every week and a half
Watering: I spray 3-4 times a day, each spray session is about 2 fl. Ounces. He doesn't drink from his dripper, but he does luck water from the leaves and goes to a shallow water bowl I change everyday to drink.
Fecal description: his pee in a very faint yellow, I'm trying to get it back to white but it's hard without the dripper. His poo is a little moist, but it's still brown. I haven't tested him, and the previous owner never mentioned it.
History: I don't have much to go on, my mom have it to me from a friend and I never had a chance to meet and speak with them.
Cage type: it's a screen cage, it was built by previous owner, made of wood (which I don't think is great) and is 3 ft tall, 2 ft thick, and 4.5 ft wide.
Lighting: I'm not sure the brand because it came with the cage, but it's blue, shines kind if yellow, and is 60 watts. I usually turn them on from 12 pm to 8, sometimes 9.
Temperature: 80-85 during the day, throughout the cage, and 75-80 at night. I have a thermometer strip in the middle of the back of the cage.
Humidity: 50-70%, I mist with a bpa free spray bottle, I don't have a mister because it's a wooden cage with screen, and it stays in my bedroom. I use a hygrometer from petco to measure it.
Plants: I have a mix of live and fake plants. I have a right angled tree piece, a big wood perch thing, a live white oleander (which he seems to love), Spanish moss, one that grows off of a totem pole that I no longer have the name of, 2 live plants from the reptile section at petco, and some fake reptile section plants/vines from petco, and some grapevine rope stuff (which he also seems to enjoy).
Placement: cage is in my room, I keep it 75 in here, the fan is on at night but it's not hitting him, his cage starts 2 feet in the air and is 3 feet tall, so his view is 2-5 feet up.
Location: I live near central Florida
