Humidity wont stay up Need help

Ok well first time having problem with this so maybe some one can give me some ideas. I misted my cage this morning and with in and hour the humidity dropped all the way down to 10. Just checked it againand once again after misting after an hour down to 10. How can I get the humidity to stay up. I have a screen cage on the bottom all I have is green Reptile carpet and a small flat tray with a paper towel to keep moist but not a bunch of free standing water from the drip system . Ideas please .

Thank you all:)

Go ahead and take out the moist paper towel because all it's doing is growing bacteria. For my screen cages I got some clear shower curtain liner and cut it to the size of the cage and taped it to the frame so 2 or 3 sides are covered. It helps keep humidity up better while still allowing good circulation from the top and front. If that still isn't enough (you must live someplace really dry to drop to 10%) you may need to get a cool mist humidifier to put next to/blowing into the cage. Mine is on a timer to come on for 30 minutes every other hour and it keeps the humidity around 60-70%. Live plants help with humidity as well.

Ok thanks i forgot one side is glass so I will start by covering one side and add more if needed. I think if I read correct veils humidity must have humidity at 30 to 50 % correct if I am wrong. Also is it a warm humidifier or a cool humidifier. Live in San Diego but yes its been very dry The last few days. Live plants I tryed to find whats best to use I went to Home Depot to look for some and when I gave names of plants no one really knew what i was speaking of.

i would look for a pothos plant they are easy to find and keep. i keep my veileds around 50 to 80 %. and the cool air humidifiers are better imo, the warm ones might promote bacteria and the cool air ones can be used in the summer without worry of overheating the cham
