i have 2 veiled chams could someone please tell me what the humidity should be they have a waterfall in thier enclosure and we spray them everyday but the humidity do`s not stay constant

Another person with a waterfall?

take it out asap.

As far as humidity, veiled can manage lower humidity levels than other species. You should be fine if you mist 3 times a day. The levels should be above 40%.

Agreed with the above. Waterfalls can be problematic for two reasons. First, they may present a drowning hazard. Second, they can grow potentially pathogenic densities of bacteria and fungi, leading to health problems for the chameleon. I would probably remove it.

Veiled are much more tolerant of lower humidity and generally drier conditions than most species. They are habitat generalists in Yemen and can be found in relatively humid, wetter areas, and less humid, drier areas. An average humidity of at least 40%, but ideally at least 50% is a good target. Humidity will rise quite a bit after misting, but will drop as the cage dries. As long as they are provided with plenty of drinking opportunities, they can easily tolerate lower humidities in the 40-50% neighborhood, whereas some other species, especially rainforest specialists, don't seem to tolerate lower humidity quite as well, even with ample drinking opportunities.

Also, you say that you have two in the same enclosure. That is fine for young animals, up to perhaps 3 months old. Beyond that age you'll really want to separate them as they do become substantially more territorial as they age. The closest I personally ever got to housing older animals together was with two females that I hatched and raised (they were the last two from a much larger clutch). I had these two in a 60x60x90 cm cage and they seemed to do fine together. At about 5 or 6 months of age (I forget) I finally saw overt aggression between them (gaped mouth and hissing) and so I separated them right away. I've heard of some people having success housing adults together in very large cages (e.g. 3x1x2 m) but it seems dicey to me. Separate housing is much more foolproof IME.
