humidity level and other quick question

Quick question. i have an all screen enclosure which makers it difficult to keep the humidity level up. i used to have the repti-fogger which did help however it broke and now as i am reading forums people mention its not very good. so i will steer clear of that. also people mantion putting shower curtains around 2 of the sides. would semi-securing just a small garbage bag provide the same solution just much cheaper? its still waterproof the moisture would stay on one side of it and so on? i have 3 cages. one small one with a carpet. he has 2 small shefflera's in it. and i have 2 bigger ones with a nosy be in one and a rb ambilobe in the other. the nosy has a small ficus and i actually dont have a real plant in the rb ambilobe's cage. i have her laying bin in the bottom and therefore no room. would it hurt to plant in her laying bin?
sorry i rambled but that second question came to me as i was typing.

I wouldn't use trashbags personally because I know they're all impregnated with chemicals now to prevent odors and bugs. And if moisture gets on the trashbags it could release some of the chemicals or fumes. You don't want your cham drinking water that may have those chemicals in it, or eating bugs that may have nibbled on it. Plus it would be ugly having trashbags on your cages...

The clear shower curtains are only $3or less at walmart or target and I covered 3 sides of one cage and 2 sides of another with one. Had extra left over so probably could have covered all 3 sides of two 18x18x36" cages if I had wanted to. I would spend the extra $3 to do that instead if it were me.

I got mine at the dollar store.All white and i did 3 sides of my cage and left the top and front open.I plan on adding a humidifier and putting it on one side of the cage.I will just cut some of the curtain away to let the humidifier go towards the inside of the cage.

how much are humidifiers? like are you talking about big room sized ones that are like 65 bucks? or are there smaller more reasonable ones?

That's exactly what I did a few weeks ago! I bought a $40 crane humidifier, hooked it up with a very simple PVC pipe system and can now humidify both my large cages. It works very well. When I turn it on cool fog just rolls into the cages. I think my chams will especially appreciate that in the summer when it's hot.

The reptile foggers they sell at pet stores are total crap btw, they break pretty much without exception. If you go to a grocery store or target/walmart/walgreens etc. you can look at the humidifiers they have there. The ultrasonic humidifiers work very well for reptile purposes. Just don't get the warm mist ones because they spew hot steam and it could burn your cham.

can you post a photo of the PVC parts and how you hooked this up to make it go inside your screen cages? I am about to go ahead and buy Ozzie a large screen cage because his live potted plants are taking up alot of his glass eco terra cage right now.
