humidity for egg

i don't know the proper humidity for an egg, but the eggs should be in an almost sealed container with a good amount moisture in the medium. So i guess the humidity is pretty high.

Humidity?

I would think that panther eggs are similar ( i have veiled chameleons) and I kept mine in the incubator at about 75-80 temp F / 75-90 humidity. You want to remember to keep the humidity higher than lower...

Beautiful babies at 7.2 months!!

You may want to see if someone with panthers can help you with this one...

low humitity

when I first placed eggs in hatch rite the moisture seemed too much, I let them dry out some.. Now I think I may have gone too far.. What will be the result of low humity? Longer incubation? Death? These veiled are one week over 7 months. look good and fat so hopefully it will just take a little longer. Help would be appreciated.

Raphael1047...Are the three clutches in separate containers?

Hyunho6...to test for humidity, if you are using vermiculite...take a fist full of the vermiculite and squeeze it...you should only be able to squeeze out one or two drops of water. There will be drops of moisture on the insides of the container and the underside of the lid.

yes the clutches are in separate containers. why is it bad to keep them together?

when the incubation container is set up it is like a mini eco system and should be fine for the whole incubation time as long as you don't keep taking the lid off the container too often to checking the eggs.

Asfor keeping each clutch in a separate container...i just do that because I wonder if more than one clutch is in a container would a younger clutch hatch when the oldest clutch started to hatch.
