did you look on youtube? It has a lot of videos on making DIY humidifiers

I have 3 kids so have 3 old cool mist humidifiers [cool mist is needed for chams]. I got a bottle and stuck it at the outflow area, drilled a hole through it's center, and attached a tube, then sealed it with silicon. It's on most of the daylight hours. The white mist can be seen after the black piece at the end of the tube. The tube was an old hose from a hand held car vacuum, but was never used. The tube was bending upward at the end, and would accumulate water, so I tied a stick [a wooden skewer from a kids chicken dinner at Friendly's] at the end to keep it straight:

I'd suggest looking at the forum's enclosure pictures for ideas. First, I'd get a good idea what the normal humidity range is in the room where you will have the cage. Get a good digital humidity gauge and monitor it for a while. If your climate tends to be dry you'll see that. If your humidity doesn't change much you may only need misting, not additional humidifying. I would also do a forum search on "misting systems", "humidifiers", etc. There are tons of threads with ideas.

I live in a pretty small house. I have a swamp cooler that keeps humidity so high, I can't put a poster on my living room wall cause it wrinkles from the wetness in the air. In the winter, I can keep the room at 60% with a humidifier. I mist them several times daily. It's pretty humid in there. O, I also have Terry cloth towels hanging on 3 sides of the screen cages. Works pretty good.
