How to use a dripper??

I know this sounds like a dumb question but was wondering how much a dripper should drip water into the cage? I just got a panther chameleon yesterday and he is such a cutie. I also would like to know what is the best misting system if i do decide to buy one? and how often should u mist or drip? Should the leaves always be wet?

Drip about 1 drip per second or every two seconds. I do not use a mister but I know alot of people use the MistKing automatic misters. When you mist you want the cage to dry out at some point. So you wanna mist two or three times a time for like 3-5 minutes or so. Don't mist at night before the lights go out. I have a gallon dripper and usually fill it about half way up. I or someone in my household is always here so we have a small tupperware that is shallow to catch the water and it is emptied when full. If you are not going to be home, then you have to figure out some type of drainage, be it towels or whatever. I drip water all day for my chameleon until about 2 hours before the lights go out and then wipe out the bottom of the cage. Always make sure container is shallow enough if your cham was to fall in, he would be able to crawl back out.

I'm using a 16ounce dripper that is set to drip 1 drop every 3 seconds and it last all day and my little guy will drink from the leaves whenever hes thirsty. I also bought the mistking and I really love it and the person who sells them frequents this forum. I've also heard good things of aquazamp misters too.

Yea I saw the king misters at the Reptile Show, which by the way was so much fun. Thats how I found out about the forum too. I think I am going to try building a drainage system underneath the cage hopefully it goes well. Thank u!
