Ok,
I have a female juvenile veiled chameleon i have had her for about a month now and i have been meaning to ask this but keep forgetting to. How can you tell when your veiled chameleon is going to lay eggs? Would they give a sign or something? I would like to know this just in case she can't lay one. Piglet has not came contact with a male chameleon so if she were to lay eggs they would not be fertile.

When the Piglet go wee...wee...wee....jk
Once ur juvenile veiled become mature and start eating more n more feeders her body start looking heavier, then suddenly she slow down her eating habits, traveling up and down in ur enclosure, that will be a sign for her ready to lay,so please prepare a laying bin bucket, search in the forum for how to make one or on the YouTube showing u step by step, soon you will understand how the laying process works....Good luck.
And dont forget to say hi to the Piglet for me:)

If you have an opaque container at least 12 " deep by 12 " by 8 " full of moistened washed playsand in her cage you won't have to worry about it much.

What she reaches sexually maturity she will develop mustardy yellow splotches and then when she's receptive she will also develop turquoise blue dots. When she's producing eggs she may take on a dark background color that may come and go.

When she's approaching egg laying time she should become plump, drink more, maybe bask more, roam the cage looking for a Site to lay them in, maybe slow down or even stop eating.

If she becomes lethargic, sits low in the cage, her eyes become sunken in then she's heading towards eggbinding and needs to see a vet ASAP.

Hope this helps!

I have a female it's bin a month and I see the egg print out on the side of the back but she doesn't dig anything or really roam she's sometimes dark or lime green she was 2 males before so I didn't know anything about rhet when I got them and both males breeded with her ! She wasn't agressive or anything she would actually back up into the males and they mated with out a problem

You should just start your own new thread for this topic instead of bumping threads from 2016. You'll have more help that way
