Ok, Karma's new cage is here and assembled.
Hubby is making a back for it so we can attach her branch and the plant ring for the pothos to sit in... then we can put in the other plants, laying tub, vines, etc.
It is the 24 x 24 x 48 screen from LLL. We also bought the 24 hood with 18 reptisun UVB 5.0 that was recommended by you guys. We have a incandescent reg. household 60wt for basking.
Of course the hood light will sit across the top. We are getting a plant hanger to attach to the wall to hang the basking lamp on with the incand. light in it. It will have a chain on it so we can raise and lower it as needed.
This may be a stupid question but HOW do we do it so she gets benefit of both lights? Her favorite basking branch is about 5 in. out from wall currently.
I was thinking of setting the UVB hood lite out about 6-8 inches so that she gets it while on her branch and while being on other branches. Then having her basking light hanging between the wall and the UVB light, over her favorite branch. We can raise and lower it to get the temp just right by using the chain.
Does that sound right? Or would you put the UVB hood flush across the back and the basking sticking out farther?
