How to identify how old a chameleon is?

Hey I just got a baby veiled chameleon And I have no idea exactly how old he is. Can anyone help me determine this??,

Hard to tell with that pic but my best guess would be 3-4 months old. Kath.

I agree on the age, however, are you sure that is a veiled? I am not a veiled expert, but it does not look like any baby veileds I have seen before. Hopefully someone with more veiled experience will verify that it is indeed a baby veiled. Either way it is a great looking cham.

Awe he/she is very cute....Id say around 3 months or 3.5....and its defiantly a veiled ;-)

There you have it. I have had a couple of adult males, and seen lots of young veileds in pet stores, but never actually dealt with baby veileds. It is a little cutie though.

I'd say it is a veiled and probably stressed, hence the markings.

Looks about 3 months of age. Maybe a little older. Some chameleons are born larger or smaller then their siblings.

Thanks so much you guys. His name is geb. And he is very snuggly and loves his mommy to pick him up. He does the reach thing every time I get near his cage. He is a happy baby and I hope to post more about him in the future.

It's a boy for sure? Some more pictures will help with guessing at an age. His colors at rest will be more informative if it's a guy.
