how to handle a hunger strike?

I have been having this problem for over a week now, just found out or rather discovered that its a possible hunger strike. I have fed him roaches for the main part of the 6 months that Ive had him. In between Ive also fed him hornworms, hissing roaches, a few wild caught mantis's, waxworms and super worms. But while he initially takes the first few of each afterwards he stops eatin each completly. Ive seen him eating mostly the leaves from the umbrella and ficus plants in his cage, the umbrella is almost bare now but he just ignores any feeders in his bowl or any that manage to escape and free range in his cage. what can i do to start him to eat more feeders?

You really should fill out the Ask For Help Form just to make sure he's not ill and it is a hunger strike. For a hunger strike I don't offer any food at all for a few days. Sometimes they just get tired of seeing food all the time. Then when I do offer someting, I offer something different that they have not had in awhile.

Ya I agree with jan. I think he is just getting spoiled! I say zero tolerance policy. No food for 3 days (assuming he is otherwise healthy).
