I know real bamboo is safe i was just wondering if there is any specific type that is better than another? These are they types that my local nursery offers, Giant Timber, Mexican Weeping, Golden Goddess, Punting Pole, Buddha's Belly

I want to start growing some on my porch in pots before moving it into the cages, will this work?

I know lucky bamboo is okay to use....i guess they would make a pretty sweet verticlt basking platform...come to think of it.

Panda's are mammals, chameleons are reptiles, whats safe for one is not nessesarily safe for the other.

Ofcourse this assumes your cham may eat it, veileds are said to munch plants sometimes. Its a calculated risk, though I think you'd be unlucky to get one that was fataly toxic from eating a small amount. If you noticed bits of leaf missing, Id remove it.

Hm.. I actually have read numerous times that lucky bamboo isn't safe.. but as was said different responses will be made.

If you think your chameleon will eat the plant, don't use it. Better to be safe than sorry.
