how should I handle my cham

Ok so I just got Blendin an Ambilobe male on tuesday. He seems to be eating drinking and pooing great... but my question is how do I handle him? How do all of you get your cham to climb up on you or onto a stick to clean their cage? I really don't want to get bit and dont want to stress him out anymore than he needs to be....help please I'd appreciate it! Thanks Michelle
